A fabulous Victorian velvet mourning reticule, it's wounded and very old antique drawstring purse with cut steel beads. As you can see they've rusted and the lining is shattered. It would have had a drawstring corded handle but that's gone too - so it's in need of sone TLC. I can stitch that stray fringe loop back, but I will leave the rest of the resto to whomever it goes to next, as you may want to just preserve it as it stands, to show off the age.
